Avia Invest: departure area renovated!

Chisinau International Airport keeps becoming a comfort and relaxation area for its passengers.

The new modernizations made by Avia Invest, the company that manages the Airport, have allowed the transformation of the waiting area and departures zone in an oasis for all categories of passengers, including the little ones. Now passengers are enjoying new facilities in the waiting room at the departures zone, which has expanded over 800 m2. The total area of the departure zone of the terminal now exceeds 2000 m2.

The waiting room is the place where the passengers spend the most time, which is why Avia Invest always improves the spaces for the passengers, giving them the comfort and the right ambience for an easy and pleasant flight.

Avia Invest pays particular attention to each passenger individually, and changes in the airport have been made taking into account all categories of passengers. Even the flights with the little ones are a pleasure now, because of all the facilities and specially arranged spaces, which you can use in Chisinau Airport. On the 2nd floor, in the departures area, the children have an ultra-modern playground.

Avia Invest has created this playground for all ages: it has slides, Montessori toys and many others, adored by children, and 2 TV screens, which can be used for video games with VR technology. A more unusual resident, the AiBo ERS-7 robot puppy has also appeared on the playground. Called Avi, the robot-dog can be the most special child friend, able to interact with the kids in a unique way, to play and learn new things.

At the same time, parents can relax in the waiting areas, which now have increased comfort, getting the most out of all the Airport services. And without any worries, because the little ones will be supervised by the Kids Supervisor in the play area.

Modern innovations and technologies are also found in the new Mother and Child Room. Now, traveling through Chisinau Airport with babies you can take advantage of the private space for breastfeeding your baby. There is also a mini kitchen with all the necessary devices for preparing baby food.

In the new open space, there is also a special bathroom for the little ones and parents. The sanitary ware was imported from producers specialized in products for children.

The waiting room on the 2nd floor of departures area, is arranged with armchairs to create a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, having near perfect conditions and utilities with necessary modern technologies. Here passengers can also enjoy the most famous books from the ​​electronic library - a project launched at the Airport at the beginning of the year, which is meant to promote reading among travelers. Bookmate app offers access to over 850,000 books in all categories, in 12 languages.

A new element in the process of reconstruction of the terminal is the opening of a separate security checkpoint for passengers, who transit the country. The corridor surface has been also increased. This change will allow the separation of the two flows of passengers and will prevent the formation of queues at the control points.

In order to facilitate the movement of moms with baby carriages, persons with reduced mobility and passengers with large luggage in the new departure area, a high-performance climber and lift were installed.

Noteworthy is the change of the entire ventilation system to a stronger and more efficient. Also, the power of the air conditioning system was increased, which covers the entire surface of the waiting room. There were also opened new cafes, an ice cream parlor with artisan ice cream of own production and a restaurant.
