Avia Invest has launched a strategic plan for the development of the airport, taking all necessary measures to ensure the functionality of the airport in more effective ways. The project provides for the construction of a new area of 4155 sq meters, and the reconstruction and upgrading of existing space (5450 sq meters) in accordance with international standards.
Thus, the expansion of the terminal (arrival, departure, baggage areas) will significantly reduce the inconvenience of passengers by creating a pleasant atmosphere before departure. Another advantage will be an increase in the airport's capacity to 750 passengers per hour (at this stage, 420 passengers per hour). Expansion and reconstruction of the terminal is one of the main tasks included in the strategic plan for the development of Chisinau airport, for which Avia Invest is making constant efforts.
In parallel with the investment plan for the expansion and reconstruction of the airport, conducting a large-scale work on the construction of multi-storey car Park for passengers was a new waiting area, another restaurant, also a children's Playground, located after passport control. All changes are aimed at improving passenger comfort.
It is important to note that during the expansion of the airport, the schedule of flights and arrivals will remain unchanged.

Both companies are also working on the construction of a multi-storey Parking lot in front of the airport building. NCP Urbanproiect and Extractor Grup SRL presented the best offers both from the technical and financial side. The offers comply with all construction regulations and standards.
