Multistage parking at Chisinau International Airport

In order to improve the quality of the services provided to Chisinau International Airport passengers, the flow of which has increased significantly, the company Avia Invest LLC has launched and finished the construction of a multistage parking.

Today, on May 17, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at Chisinau Airport was  opened the first multistage parking, which is one of the largest in Moldova. Starting from today, customers of the Chisinau International Airport will be able to use the parking lot with 4 levels, with a capacity of 800 seats, located directly in front of the Terminal.

It is important to mention that temporarly, during the first period of operation of the parking, all customers will benefit of free services.

To quickly identify the location of the vehicle, each level is marked with a different color: yellow, orange, gray and red. On the upper level there are parking places for the disabled persons. Also, there are two elevators for transporting people and goods, crossing ramps between levels for visitors and vehicles, control and video surveillance system, information devices and other equipment necessary to comply with European standards. Each pillar of the parking is equipped with reflective rubber corners and rubber rim to avoid damaging cars.

Therewith, we recall that in the selection of the project executor, were chosen two Moldovan companies INCP design institute Urbanproiect and the construction company Exfactor Grup. Both institutions have submitted the best offer, both, in terms of technical and financial, having an effective approach regarding the operation and configuration of the operating characteristics of the car parking, taking into consideration all the rules and regulations of construction.

We want to stress out that building of the multistage car parking is part of the first stage of the investments within the Contract of assets concession and the related land, under the management of Avia Invest LLC.

LLC AVIA INVEST – the managing company – is the investor, which, according to a decree of the Government, took Chisinau International Airport in concession since November 1, 2013. According to Airports Council International Europe, Chisinau International Airport is the first airport in Europe that recorded the highest growth in passenger number in the category of airports with a flow of up to 5 million passengers. In 2014, Chisinau International Airport has served 1 781 469 passengers, by 34,28% more than in 2013. Currently, 19 air companies are working within Chisinau Airport, operating flights to 33 destinations worldwide.

NIBD Urbanproiect – The institute was found in 1944 as a planning organization. In 1999, the institute has received the status of a National Research Project Institute. During all the years of its existence, the institute was the leading, as the biggest specialized projecting organization, and the institute’s specialists became the base for creation a projecting school of the republic. Notable projects: reconstruction of the Parliament building, residential buildings with underground parking, agro-industrial complex with parking system, the District Clinical Hospital with underground parking in Calarasi, commercial center in Taraclia, an ice cream factory in Ialoveni, university blocks in Balti, etc.

Exfactor Grup Ltd – is a construction company licensed in the field of construction since 2004, which has successfully conducted projects on Moldovan market. Reliability, stability, punctuality, in the performance of works, as well as flexibility – are the main characteristics of the company.
