Export of the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency
(1) Individuals shall be entitled to:
(a) Export from the territory of the Republic of Moldova bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, whose value does not exceed the amount of 10 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person, without submission to the customs authorities confirming documents, foreseen in the paragraph c);
c) Export from the territory of the Republic of Moldova the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, whose value does not exceed the amount of 50 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person, with the submission to the customs authorities the following confirming documents:
- customs documents which confirm the import of the currency into the Republic or Moldova, and/or
- license for the export of the foreign currency from the territory of the Republic of Moldova, issued in conformity with the regulations of the National Bank of Moldova, by an authorized bank or the National Bank of Moldova;
d) Declare the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, imported into and exported from the Republic of Moldova, whose value does not exceed the amount of 10 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person.
(2) Individuals are required to declare in written the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, as follows:
b) when exporting them from the territory of the Republic of Moldova, if their amount exceeds 10 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person.
Customs control
Import of currency assets
(1) Individuals shall be entitled to:
- Import, unlimited, into the territory of the Republic of Moldova, bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency;
- Declare the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, imported into the Republic of Moldova, whose value does not exceed the amount of 10 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person.
(2) Individuals are required to declare in written the bank notes, coins and bills in national currency of the Republic of Moldova, as well as bank notes, coins and traveller’s cheques in foreign currency, when importing them into the Republic of Moldova:
- if their amount exceeds 10 000 Euro (or their equivalent) per person.
